Updates to eCloud Passwords & Voicemail PINs
Effective June 1, 2026 for all ESI Cloud users
Starting June 1, 2026, new security requirements for eConsole passwords and voicemail PINs will go into effect. These updates are required and are designed to improve security across the eCloud platform.
Users can begin updating their passwords and PINs now. Beginning June 1, users will be prompted in eConsole to update their credentials if they have not already done so, before they can access the dashboard.
Please note:
- Your eConsole password and voicemail PIN are now required to be different.
- In the past, users could use the same code for both. This will no longer be allowed.
- Passwords and PINs must also meet new security standards (detailed below).
Instructions
eConsole™ Password Requirements
- Your eConsole™ dashboard login is also used for the ePhoneGO 2™ mobile app.
To Reset Your Password
- Open Google Chrome and go to the eConsole login page at my.esihs.net
- Click Forgot Password?
- Follow the instructions. Your login name is your extension and company domain (i.e. 1001@yourdomain.com)
New Password Rules
- Your password must:
- Be at least twelve (12) characters long
- Include:
- 1 capital letter
- 1 number
- 1 special character
- Your password cannot include:
- Your extension number
- Example: if your extension is 1001, you cannot use Ext1001Juli@
- The word "password" or common terms such as:
- Welcome
- Changeme
- Temp
- Your extension number
Single Sign-on (SSO)
- You may also log in using:
- Office 365
- Apple
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- MFA is not currently required, but ESI strongly recommends enabling it for improved account security.
- MFA adds an extra verification step when logging in and helps protect both your account and business network.
Voicemail PIN Changes
- Users can change their voicemail PIN:
- From their desk phone
- From the eConsole™ dashboard under "Profile"
New Voicemail PIN Rules
- New voicemail PIN must:
- Be at least six (6) numbers
- User numbers only (no letters or special characters)
- Your PIN cannot include:
- Your extension number
- Simple or repeated patterns, such as 111111, 123456, 654321, 121212
Important Note
- After June 1, 2026, older 4-digit voicemail PINs may still work from desk phones, as the system cannot force the change automatically. However, for security reasons, all users should update to the new 6-digit PIN format as soon as possible.
Office Managers
- Office Managers can send password/PIN reset emails to multiple users at once via the eConsole™ dashboard, under "Users" > "Bulk Action."
